8 PBM hosp staff shifted under 'Operation Prince'

BIKANER: 'Operation Prince' has created terror among the culprits and has resulted in improvement in the overall management of Government PBM hospital at Bikaner. After the launch of `Operation Prince' on Thursday , around eight staff members were immediately shifted, but their relieving was kept in abeyance keeping in view the protest of nursing staff association.
Out of these eight staff, four are regular employee and four others are engaged on contract basis. During the operation, around 50 bikes, wrongly parked in the hospital campus, were seized by traffic police. `Operation Prince' was launched on the directives of divisional commissioner Subir Kumar and was car ried out under the supervision of additional commissioner Rakesh Sharma. Just two days back, divisional commissioner Subir Kumar took a meeting with hospital authorities and members of Rajasthan Medicare Relief Society in order to improve the management of the hospital.
Since last few months there were complaints of graft, theft and irregularities in the PBM hospital. Besides, there were reports of selling illegal liquor by vendors in and around the hospital, apart from trafficking of goods and material of hospital using ambulances. Complaints were also made to joint secretary S P Singh when he recently visited the hospital. After looking into all these complaints, Kumar told to initiate a process to stop all illegal activities.
According to hospital sources, the authorities were working on the plan since last few days and some sting operations were also done for collecting proofs and verifying the complaints. Documents were prepared to nab culprits working in the hospital. After completing all formalities and homework, district administration and hospital authorities launched Operation Prince on Thursday ..
