8 judicial officers in Jodhpur put on APO after inspection by Acting CJ

Jaipur: Citing "administrative exigencies", the Registrar General of Rajasthan High Court Tuesday ordered the placement of eight judicial officers, including a district judge, on awaiting posting order (APO). The orders came after Acting Chief Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma conducted a surprise inspection of the High Court's heritage building complex in Jodhpur.Amid heightened security checks in the morning during the bomb threat, the Acting Chief Justice visited various district, metropolitan and subordinate courts functioning within the premises. During the inspection, several courtrooms were found vacant, and some judicial officers were reportedly absent from their designated seats during official court hours. Some of the judicial officers were seen in their chambers during court hours.
Taking serious note, the Acting Chief Justice returned to the High Court and, within hours, an administrative order was issued by Registrar General Chanchal Mishra, placing 8 judicial officers under APO with immediate effect, citing administrative reasons. One of the officers, Ajay Sharma, the district judge, Jodhpur, was instructed to mark his presence at Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur. The other 7 officers were directed to report to headquarters of the district and sessions judge, Jodhpur.Others who were placed on APO are Manisha Choudhary, judge of the Special Court for Pocso cases in Jodhpur; Manisha Sharma, additional district and sessions judge no 2 (Jodhpur-Metropolitan); Neha Sharma, additional district and sessions judge (Jodhpur); Karuna Sharma, senior civil judge-cum-chief judicial magistrate (Jodhpur); Praveen Choudhary, additional senior civil judge-cum-additional chief judicial magistrate no 2 (Jodhpur); Seema Sandhu, additional senior civil judge-cum-additional chief judicial magistrate no 9 (Jodhpur); and Manoj Jinger, additional senior civil judge-cum-additional chief judicial magistrate no 7.
