Centre increased budget for NE to bring it on a par with rest of India: Union min

Itanagar: Union MoS (rural development) Kamlesh Paswan has said the Centre has made a three-fold increase in the budget for the northeast so that it can catch up with the development in other parts of the country.Taking part in Solung festival at Ruksin in Arunachal Pradesh’s East Siang district recently, Paswan reaffirmed the vision of PM Narendra Modi to fast-track development projects in Arunachal Pradesh and other NE states.He said visible changes are taking place today in areas of power, education, healthcare, agriculture, tourism, road and air connectivity, infrastructure, etc. “We must make efforts to take our programmes and central and state-sponsored schemes to the poor and needy and ensure last-mile delivery,” the Union minister said.Praising the people of the state, he said Arunachal Pradesh holds a special place for him and joining the Solung festival celebrations has provided him an opportunity to experience the rich culture and tradition of the Adi community.

Nashik tops in state in implementing Centre scheme to provide tap water

Nashik district tops Maharashtra in the Jal Jeevan Mission with a 65% completion rate for rural tap connections. The water supply department successfully implemented 797 out of 1,222 schemes despite challenges in hilly areas. Nandgaon taluka achieved a 92% completion rate, while Surgana taluka completed the most schemes.
