Khandu inaugurates aqua adventure training centre in West Kameng dist

Itanagar: Arunachal CM Pema Khandu on Wednesday inaugurated the aqua excellence centre of the Dirang-based National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS) at Tippi in West Kameng district, reports Joken Ete. Felicitating the ‘Har Shikhar Tiranga’ team of NIMAS that successfully scaled and hoisted the tricolour on the highest peak of each Indian state, Khandu hailed the indomitable spirit of the team members ably led by Col Jamwal, who incidentally is the only Indian to reach the top of Mount Everest thrice.

Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu and Deputy CM Chowna Mein expressed their condolences, remembering his contributions, humility, and dedication. Bhattacharjee, aged 80, is survived by his wife Mira and daughter Suchetana.

Indian expedition team unfurls largest Tricolour atop Mt Kilimanjaro

The ministry of defence expedition team led by Uday Kumar, who has a 91% disability above the knee, successfully summited Africa's highest peak, Mt. Kilimanjaro, and unfurled the largest Indian flag there. This historic feat, shared by MOD spokesperson A. Bharat Bhushan Babu, saw the team reach the summit between 1300 and 1400 hours. The adventure began on July 30.
