Mhow: A youth slashed his wrist and jumped from a hillock near Patalpani waterfall on Saturday. He was saved by the police deployed in the area to prevent untoward incidents during rainy season.
Badgonda police station in-charge Lokendra Singh Hirore told TOI that Akshay, 28, a resident of Bengali Square in Indore slashed his left wrist and jumped from a hillock near the first tunnel on Mhow-Kalakund railway track at around 10.30 am.
Onlookers raised an alarm, leading to his rescue. He was trapped in bushes at a depth of around 250 ft. He was taken to Mhow Civil Hospital and later referred to MY hospital in Indore.
Hirore said that it was later found that a missing person's complaint in his name was lodged at Kanadia police station in Indore.
