Without Coaching, Anubhuti Agrawal Secures 99.2% in PCB Stream
Indore: Anubhuti Agrawal from Delhi Public School Indore emerged as one of state’s highest scorers in the CBSE Class 12 examinations, securing 99.2 per cent in the PCB stream. The results were declared on Wednesday. Despite the outstanding score, Anubhuti said she had not expected such marks and would have been happy even with 95 per cent.
“I was shocked when I saw the result. It took some time for the feeling to sink in. My parents were equally surprised and happy,” Anubhuti told TOI. Daughter of an engineer father and doctor mother, Anubhuti prepared without attending coaching classes and relied mainly on consistent self-study and regular revision. She said maintaining balance during preparation was important and added that taking small breaks from studies helped her stay relaxed and avoid pressure.
The celebrations, however, came amid uncertainty for the medical aspirant. Anubhuti had appeared for NEET-UG on May 3, but the examination was cancelled on Tuesday. The development left her experiencing two contrasting emotions within a day, the joy of an exceptional Class 12 result and the disappointment of having to face uncertainty over the medical entrance examination once again.
