Two killed one injured after speeding car crashes into bike
Indore: Two men were killed and another sustained critical injuries after a speeding car crashed into their motorcycle on the Rupakhedi railway bridge along the Kshipra bypass in Dewas on Saturday morning. The accident triggered widespread anger among residents, who blocked the road for nearly two hours, alleging poor road conditions and delays in emergency response.Police said 40-year-old Haider, Ansar and Imran, all residents of Nayata Puwalda village, were on their way to Indore for work when the accident occurred around 8:30 am. The three men, who were engaged in motor-related work, were riding a motorcycle when driver of a car coming from the Indore side allegedly lost control of the vehicle on the bridge.Eyewitnesses claimed the uneven surface of the bridge caused the car to become unstable. After reportedly travelling uncontrollably for nearly 100 feet, the vehicle crossed the divider and entered the opposite lane before colliding head-on with the motorcycle.Haider and Ansar died on the spot, while Imran was severely injured and was referred to a hospital in Indore for treatment. Witnesses said the impact was so intense that Haider was thrown nearly 50 feet below the bridge.
Ansar and Imran also suffered grievous injuries in the crash. Both the motorcycle and the car were extensively damaged. The incident sparked protests by villagers, who alleged that ambulances and emergency services failed to reach the spot on time. As a result, the injured and the deceased had to be transported to the district hospital in private vehicles and tractor-trolleys. Enraged residents blocked the road, causing long queues of vehicles on both sides.Senior administrative and police officials reached the spot to pacify the protesters. The blockade was lifted after authorities promised an inquiry into the condition of the bridge and appropriate action.CSP Sumit Agrawal confirmed that two people died in the accident and one person was under treatment. He said complaints regarding technical flaws in the road would be placed before the concerned committee for further examination and necessary action.
