Madhya Pradesh: Two killed in crash while returning from birthday party

Two friends were killed after their four-wheeler met with an accident while they were returning from a birthday party in Alot late on Monday.The accident was reported at Rupeta Fatak when they were on their way to railway station after celebrating a friend’s birthday.

The vehicle hit a vacant hut on roadside. It appeared to be in speed The person, who was at the wheel, lost control after which it overturned killing the duo on the spot, Alot police said.

The deceased, 27-year-old Azhar Sheikh and 25-year-old Pawan Porwal, were on their way to Nagda railway station to pick up their friend Vicky Gupta who was arriving at Nagda from Jaipur.
Vicky kept waiting at the railway station and continuously dialled their numbers while trying to contact his friends when they did not reach the station. Later, he came to know that both of them kept lying in the vehicle for several hours before someone spotted the vehicle and took them to Nagda civil hospital. They could not be saved.
The family members were in a state of shock after the mishap. Both were residents of Kumar Moholla in Alot. Dilip, a friend, said that the family members also tried calling both of them several times and went out to look for them but did not find them.
ASP Sunil Patidar said that the matter was being investigated and they were checking CCTV footage of the nearby area to find out exact reason behind the accident.
