INDORE

: District administration on Friday booked two persons under National Security Act (

NSA

) after samples of milk products collected from their establishments were found to be of substandard quality.

A joint team of food and civil supply, food and drugs administration and

Indore Municipal Corporation

(IMC) had on July 25 collected samples of cheese,

ghee

and

curd

from Sidhartha Enterprises situated in Sitabagh Colony near Dhenu Market and sent them for laboratory test. The team had also seized around 40kg cheese and 30kg ghee and destroyed about 60kg of stale cheese. At the spot, one Subham Sadaphule of 55/5 Tapu Nagar near Sarvanand Nagar was handling the operation while the firm’s proprietor was identified as Sidhartha Jain of Ward-9, Rawla Gali Unhel,

Ujjain district

.

After the samples collected from the firm found to be of substandard quality in laboratory report that came on Thursday, collector Lokesh Kumar Jatav ordered to book both proprietor and the in charge owner under NSA. The duo could not furnish purchase details of the milk products and thus, administration held Sadaphule and Jain responsible for preparing and selling substandard milk products.
