Two arrested with MD drugs worth Rs 16.5 L

Indore: Two men were arrested with 165 gram of MD drugs on Mhow-Neemuch highway in Ratlam district on Saturday. The action was carried out by Ringnod police following a tip-off about drug trafficking in the area. The arrested accused were identified as Karulal, 25, a resident of Rajasthan and Farid, 35, a resident of Ratlam. Police said the seized MD drugs were estimated to be worth around Rs 16.50 lakh in the illegal market. Along with the narcotics, a motorcycle and a moped used in the crime were also confiscated, taking the total value of seized material to about Rs 17.30 lakh.A case was registered against the duo at Ringnod police station under relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
