Two arrested with illicit liquor worth Rs 2 lakh, car seized

INDORE: Juni Indore police on Friday arrested two persons and seized several boxes of illegal liquor worth Rs 2 lakh from a car.

Nineteen boxes of beer, 7 boxes of Indian made foreign liquor worth Rs 2 lakh was seized from the accused. The car was also seized, police said.

Additional DCP Prashant Choubey said that they had received a tip-off about whereabouts of the accused acting on which a car was stopped on Gulzaar square during a regular checking drive and two persons — Inder Singh Mandloi, resident of Bakalvada in Khargone and his accomplice Pramod Sharma, resident of Maheshwar — were arrested.

When officials asked for his licence, he was unable to produce any following which the accused was arrested

Past records of the accused are also being checked, Juni Indore police station in-charge Yogesh Tomar said.tnn
