Swarm of bees attacks tourists at Asirgarh fort in Burhanpur, 10 injured
Indore: A swarm of bees attacked tourists at historic Asirgarh fort in Burhanpur district on Saturday morning leaving more than 10 persons, including children, injured.The incident occurred around 10 am when a large number of tourists were exploring the fort premises.As soon as information about the incident was received, a 108 ambulance reached the spot and shifted the injured to district hospital in Burhanpur. Some of the injured were also transported to hospital in a vehicle from Asirgarh police outpost. Doctors said treatment of the injured was currently underway.According to preliminary information, tourists from different areas started arriving at the fort from around 9 am. Nearly an hour later, a swarm of bees suddenly attacked the visitors, creating panic among the crowd and leaving several people injured.Officials said one of the injured persons was reported to be in a slightly serious condition, while others sustained minor injuries.Burhanpur SP Devendra Patidar said that initial information suggested seven injured persons were brought to the hospital, but the number of victims could increase.
Those injured in the incident included Mukesh Indra Singh from Rayalkheda, Rinku Jalam Dev from Nalni, Gura Gyan Singh from Rayalkheda, Diriya Anil from Devnali, Soni Keriya from Khandwa, Ravina Kailash from Padalya, Rohit Kailash from Padalya, and Jeerman Sidha from Damkheda.
