The episode traced back to a student, who after returning home from her examination, mentioned that the teacher wrote something on the board during the exam. The incomplete account caused concern among her family members, who assumed that answers were being dictated. Without confirming the details, they registered a complaint on the CM Helpline. On Feb 21, education officials initiated an inquiry and called the family to the school. They were shown the examination room and the relevant CCTV footage was reviewed in their presence. The recordings made it clear that the teacher wrote only routine information, including students' roll numbers, the subject name and general instructions related to the examination.
No evidence of cheating or answers being shared was found. District project coordinator Sanjay Mishra said the matter was the result of a misunderstanding. The student described what she saw in her own way, which was misinterpreted at home. After the facts were clarified and the footage was examined, the family accepted the explanation and withdrew the complaint from the CM Helpline. Officials said the incident, though resolved, highlighted the need to verify facts before making serious allegations, especially during the sensitive period of board examinations.
