Indore: A 17-year-old student appearing for the higher secondary examination conducted by the
Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education died by suicide at his residence in Indore, allegedly distressed over poor performance in two papers.
The incident came to light on Saturday. Police said no note was recovered and a case was registered for investigation.

Lasudia police station in-charge Taresh Soni said the deceased, Nachiket Kamdar lived with his family in Omaxe City. His father told police that he recently appeared for the board examination papers, which he felt did not go well. Nachiket shared his concern with his father, who tried to reassure him and told him not to take stress over the exams.
He told them he was preparing for his next paper, mathematics, which was scheduled on Monday. Nachiket's father, Rajesh Kamdar, works as a teacher at a college in Rau, while his mother is a patwari posted in Kshipra area. The family originally belongs to Salkanpur.
