A group of youngsters staged a street play at Bada Ganpati crossing on Wednesday to create awareness among people about traffic guidelines and to check rise in crime against women.

INDORE: A group of youngsters staged a street play at Bada Ganpati crossing on Wednesday to create awareness among people about traffic guidelines and to check rise in crime against women. The play was presented by students of Cloth Market Girls College's creative group, comprising 15 girls with the help of city traffic police.
DSP East (traffic) Arvind Tiwari said, "Taking into account the brutal rape incidents of Delhi and Badaun, we took an initiative to stage a street play with the help of college students to spread the message to put a stop to such crimes." He added that they also highlighted the issue of increasing road accidents and deaths due to disregard for traffic rules.

The girls also presented a play in which a rape victim commits suicide followed by a fake death procession. The girls gave a message that those victims facing any kind of harassment must fight back and raise voice against such atrocities.
