Pan shop owner dies by suicide

Indore: A 35-year-old pan shop owner died by suicide late on Friday night.
Vikas Yadav, who operated Yadav Pan Corner near Annapurna temple was found dead at his home by his brother, who had reached home to pick up his bike. He banged on the door for a long time and when Vikas did not open the door, he alerted the neighbours and they broke open the door to find him hanging. They rushed him to the hospital but he could not be saved.
Annapurna police station in-charge Gopal Parmar said that Vikas had sent his family members to a marriage function in the night and then took the extreme step.
While no suicide note was recovered from the spot, police said that the family members informed them that he had taken a loan for the shop and had been paying instalments. But was worried about the principal amount. He was also depressed after death of his wife due to prolonged illness in which a lot of money was spent. Parmar said that a case was registered and the body was handed over to family members after postmortem examination. TNN
