Piyush Mishra on Friday advocated check on
obscenity
in such
online contents
.
“In web series, too much obscenity is shown, which I am against. Even some makers are unnecessarily including bold scenes, which I don’t understand. The
OTT platforms
are accessible for all and there is no above 18-year bar on it. There should be some regulations,” Mishra said, adding that he doesn’t want to make any comment on some web-series makers allegedly targeting any religion as it will trigger controversy.
“OTT platform is a great future. It is giving chances to many newcomers and talented people, but there should be a check on misuse of this platform,” he said.
Mishra was in Indore to participate in a two-day-long Indore Literature Festival starting Friday. During his session, he shared his views on theatre, cinema, singing, OTT platforms, and life during the pandemic.

but the agency has stopped the probe now.” He added that it seems that the movement has some problem and was an event of pressure-politics between Centre and state government.
Mishra also expressed his views on ongoing row over new farm laws and said, “Both, the
farmers
and the government should make some adjustments and compromise with their demands and conditions to end protest as soon as possible.”
He added that it’s good to have another film city, which is proposed in Noida. “Though it’s very difficult to establish another film city but if the same could be managed, it will be very good for everyone,” Mishra said adding that Madhya Pradesh also has huge potential for filmmaking.
