In her statement, the girl told police that she was alone at home while her mother went to work. The family's pet dog was tied outside the house when the accused, who lives nearby, came there claiming he wanted to feed the dog. He allegedly began pulling and troubling the animal.
Hearing the dog cry, the student stepped outside and objected to his behaviour. She alleged that the accused then touched her inappropriately and told her the dog was only an excuse and that he came to see her.
When the student screamed, the accused fled the spot but threatened her with dire consequences if she informed anyone about the incident. She immediately called her mother and narrated what happened. After her mother returned home, the two approached police and filed a complaint. Dwarkapuri police registered a case and launched a search for the accused.
