Following its screening at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles, makers of ‘Bramayugam’ have now dropped some unseen BTS pictures to mark a milestone. The black-and-white horror film directed by
Rahul Sadasivan and featuring superstar
Mammootty in the lead role, has completed two years since its initial release.
On Sunday, February 15, the makers shared a series of behind-the-scenes pictures. In the first picture, Mammootty is engrossed in the script, and Rahul Sadasivan is giving directions. The second picture shows the director apparently enacting one scene, with the veteran actor observing intently. The third picture shows Mammootty reclining in a chair as Sadasivan explains a sequence in detail.
“2 years of #Bramayugam. Sharing some magic from behind the scenes,” they said while sharing the BTS pictures.

Meanwhile, ‘Bramayugam’ was screened at the Academy Museum’s ‘Where the Forest Meets the Sea’ film series in Los Angeles on February 12, 2026. The Malayalam-language film was the only Indian film screened at the global stage.
How Malayalam Cinema Quietly Dominated Indian Cinema in 2025
“Bramayugam comes from the stories I grew up hearing, the fears that stayed, the silences that never left. To see it resonate beyond language and geography is overwhelming.
Grateful to the cast, crew, and everyone who brought this vision to life. The only Indian film at the Academy Museum’s 'Where the Forest Meets the Sea' series, Los Angeles—February 12, 2026,” the director said, ahead of the screening.
Released on February 15, 2024, ‘Bramayugam’ featured Mammootty, Sidharth Bharathan, and Arjun Ashokan in the lead roles. The black-and-white horror film won four Kerala State film awards, including Best Actor for Mammootty.
TOI ranked the film 3.5, and the review reads, “Mammootty seems to have thrown a challenge to Malayalam filmmakers to give him roles that push him and audiences out of their comfort zones. And for his part, he goes all out to create characters that surprise, fascinate, and leave us awestruck.”
‘Bramayugam’ is now streaming on SonyLIV.
