INDORE: Former RSS pracharak Naval Kishore Sharma was sent to judicial custody till February 22 by the chief judicial magistrate's court in Dhar on Friday. A high-pitch drama prevailed at MY Hospital in Indore when it was rumoured that Sharma had 'disappeared' from the hospital. He warned the state government against allowing namaz on Friday at Bhojshala and demanded that the the BasantPanchamipuja would be performed from dawn to dusk.
However, the Indore police discreetly took away the former RSS pracharak from the hospital and handed him over to the Dhar police which in turn produced the accused before the CJM court, Dhar. Setting aside the rumours of disappearance, SP (East) OP Tripathi on Thursday confirmed that Sharma was handed over to Sanyogitaganj police by the hospital staff. Sharma was arrested recently in connection with 2006 Dhar Bhojshala case and a revolver and live cartridge was recovered from him. The arrest of Sharma is being seen as a pre-emptive measure on part of the state government ahead of Basant Panchami celebrations on February 15, the Friday, when Muslims in the town gather to offer Namaz.
