MPPSC speeds up asst professor recruitment process, schedules three subjects interviews every month

Indore: Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission is making efforts to clear pending interviews for the assistant professor recruitment before proceeding with the next round of examinations. The commission has planned to conduct interviews for at least two to three subjects every month to complete the long-pending selection process.The next phase of interviews will begin on March 15 with the geology subject for 15 posts. Officials said interviews for another subject are also likely to be scheduled later this month. The process will continue through April, May, and June as the commission attempts to cover several subjects in a phased manner.The assistant professor recruitment examination was conducted last year in two phases on June 1 and July 27. The first phase included 14 subjects for 1,618 posts, while the second phase covered nine subjects for nearly 300 posts. The recruitment drive also includes 187 posts of sports officer and 80 posts of librarian.The commission OSD R Panchbhai said the effort is to complete the remaining interviews in a planned manner so that the recruitment process moves forward without delay.So far, interviews for four subjects have been completed, while dates for three more subjects are already announced. Interviews for the remaining subjects will be scheduled in the coming weeks. Officials indicated that subjects with a large number of vacancies, such as chemistry, Hindi, and physics, are likely to be taken up in the final rounds.The commission is working against time as the new academic session in govt colleges is scheduled to begin on July 1. Authorities are aiming to release the selection lists for most subjects before the start of the session so that appointments are completed on time.Meanwhile, the commission has also issued a fresh notification for assistant professor recruitment in 2025 for 1,239 posts across 19 subjects. The written examinations are scheduled for July 12, Aug 2 and Aug 30. Negative marking will be introduced in the examination for the first time.
