The identified establishments span sectors such as dal mills, fabric processing, bakeries, chemicals, packaging, formulations and food processing. "Units that fail to comply within the stipulated time will face closure and disconnection of electricity supply as per due legal procedure. If the units fail to obtain or renew consent within the stipulated period, closure proceedings will be initiated and electricity connections disconnected," said Chouksey. The regional office of the pollution control board has shared details of the defaulting units with the district collector and Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Ltd for disconnection of electricity and further enforcement measures.
Separately, notices have also been issued to eight large and medium-category industries and institutions in the region for violating consent conditions granted earlier by the board. These units, including beverage and building material manufacturers, have been directed to submit online applications for renewal of consent and furnish clarifications within seven days.
