Man beaten to death over Rs 100 loan in Barwani; three arrested

Barwani: A 35-year-old man was beaten to death following a dispute over a Rs 100 loan in Pati area of Barwani district. Police arrested three persons in the case on Sunday evening.Pati police station in-charge Ram Das Yadav said that the incident took place about 2 km from the main town in Patel Faliya locality. The victim, Phool Singh (35), had lent Rs 100 to a youth, Manish, a few days ago.According to police, Singh went to recover the money late Saturday night, leading to an argument that turned violent. Manish, along with two others, Virendra and Ranchhod Solanki, allegedly assaulted him.Singh was taken home by his parents in an injured condition. Believing the injuries were minor, the family did not seek medical help or inform police. His condition worsened and he died early Sunday morning.Police said a case of murder has been registered and the body was sent for postmortem examination. "The postmortem examination report indicated serious internal injuries, particularly to the heart and private parts, which caused his death," Yadav said.The body was later handed over to the family. The three accused, aged between 19 and 23, were arrested later in the evening and will be produced before a local court on Monday.
