INDORE: Litigants were left high and dry on the last day of the lawyers' strike. While many were waiting for their advocates to give confirmation of whether the protest will halt or not, many others went to the court with the hope of some breakthrough.

Seema Kapoor (name changed) had gone to district court right after her working hours and was in utter frustration . "I have filed a case of domestic violence, which is pending at the court for past three years. Today, I was expected to appear before the court, but my lawyer did not confirm whether she will attend the court on my behalf or not," she said.

For the

Purohit

family, who had visited the court for the first time, it was like a nightmare. "I have come here to apply for my brother's bail. However, the advocate has simply taken our application and has disappeared somewhere without any information. We are waiting for him at his seat and wondering what should be done," said

Kishan Purohit

, a resident of

Nanda Nagar

area of the city.
