Leopard attacks villager near Kushalgarh fort
Mhow: A leopard attacked a 57-year-old man near Damali village under Pipliya panchayat of Mhow tehsil on Thursday evening. The injured man used his stick to drive away the animal and save himself.Mhow forest range officer Nayan Kumar told TOI that the man, Arjun Gawad, was attacked by a leopard when he was returning with his goats from a forest area near Kushalgarh fort at 7 pm on Thursday. After getting information from his son, a forest guard was immediately sent to the area, and Gawad was taken to Mhow civil hospital for treatment.Gawad's son Rajesh told TOI that his father had been going to forest to graze goats for three decades, but such an incident happened for the first time with him. "When we saw that the goats he had taken to forest had returned home but father was not there, I called him on his mobile phone. He told me that he was attacked by a leopard and was lying injured in the forest. Then I took other people of the village there and we brought him to house and then took him to the hospital. Hospital staff has administered vaccine and the wounds have been treated."
