Indore organisations step up to beautify city; 10 new proposals received to adopt public spaces

Indore: The Indore Municipal Corporation has received 10 new applications from various organisations wishing to adopt public spaces in the city for development.Several social and commercial organisations are adopting public spaces under a local govt initiative to maintain and enhance the city's aesthetic appeal. Many organisations have already signed contracts for major stretches.The civic body commissioner Kshitij Singhal announced that the city has received 10 new applications from organisations wishing to adopt spaces for development. New proposals include development and beautification of Nemi Nagar Garden (Ward 72) and Scheme No 78, an urban forest and open learning centre in Vijay Nagar, dividers and green belts from high court to Malwa Mill, Lantern square and the IT Park intersection to Maharaja Ranjit Singh College.Singhal emphasised that Indore's identity extended beyond its "Cleanest City" status. Now, it is defined by the active participation of its citizens. He noted that when local organisations step forward to contribute to environmental conservation and urban development, it inspires the wider community.The corporation has appealed to social organisations and corporate bodies to adopt city squares, rotaries and green belts for a five-year period. This collaborative model aims to ensure sustainable maintenance and continous growth of the city's green infrastructure.
