“I also lost my shop along with the house. I am left with no source of income now. I have to start everything from zero,” Rathore said.
The conditions of most shops in the area are similar. Some have set up temporary shops but claimed that their profit have gone down by more than 80 per cent.
While the adults have taken this as their fate, children still fail to understand that life would not be the same again.
“There is no water supply in our house, we have not taken bath from last two days, female members of the family have to face lot of problems due to lack of toilets,” said
The IMC had earlier provided some tankers for water supply but the residents claimed that the service had also stopped.
“We are not against development, they have taken everything in the name of development but at least they should help us survive with whatever is left,” said Rakesh, another resident.
