Indore: A man was arrested and foreign liquor with an estimated market value of Rs 32,000 intended for transportation to Gujarat was seized from his possession, said Indore excise department on Saturday.
Indore assistant excise commissioner Abhishek Tiwari said the team received a tip-off regarding a suspect carrying liquor in a suitcase while waiting for a Gujarat-bound bus on Lasudia Mori Road. Acting on the information, the team arrived at the spot and arrested the person.

During the search of the suitcase, the team recovered 20 bottles of foreign liquor. The suspect was identified as Jai Kutak, a resident of Morbi in Gujarat.
A case under section Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915 was registered against the accused. The department stated that the crackdown on illegal transportation and sale of liquor will continue across the district.
