Indore: The city is all set to celebrate Rangpanchmi on Sunday with local administration giving final touches to the arrangements for Gair processions, which are expected to witness participation of around five lakh people.
Collector Shivam Verma and IMC commissioner Kshitij Singhal inspected the Tory Corner to Rajwada route on Saturday. Authorities confirmed use of drones and CCTV cameras to monitor the entire route, while dilapidated buildings have been marked with warning boards, and electrical cables have been raised to safe heights. Fire tenders and ambulances will be stationed at designated points to meet any eventuality.

To manage the heavy crowd, traffic around Rajwada has been banned or diverted. Indore police and traffic department have already marked locations as parking areas, while police personnel will be deployed in large numbers to maintain law and order during the event.
The key attractions of the procession---, Sangam Corner (76th year) will feature ‘Lathmar Holi from Barsana' and a tricolour created at Rajwada using 8,000 kg of Tesu flower gulal.
Fag Yatra (28th year) will start from Narsingh Bazar, featuring a Mahadev tableau on a giant Nandi and a replica of Mahakal temple. Rasiya Corner (53rd year) will include 40 vehicles, 10 e-rickshaws, and an Adi-yogi tableau.
Indore Municipal Corporation has set up a rapid response plan to restore the cleanliness in the area after the processions end. According to additional commissioner Prakhar Singh, around 500 sanitation workers, nine mechanical sweeping machines, dumpers, earthmovers, and jet sprays will be roped in for complete cleanup of Rajwada area and procession route within an hour of the event's conclusion.
