Four-year-old killed, two injured after bike skids

Indore: A four-year-old girl died and two others were injured after a bike skidded in Tilak Nagar area on Saturday evening when the trio was on their way to celebrate Eid.The deceased was identified as Ikra, daughter of Irfan Shah, a resident of Manikbagh. She was travelling with her maternal uncle, Sufiyan and grandmother Shabana, towards Khajrana when the accident took place. Police said the rider lost balance of the two-wheeler and slipped on the road in Tilak Nagar, causing all three to fall.Ikra, who was seated in the front, suffered a severe head injury. All three were rushed to MY Hospital by ambulance, where doctors declared the child dead. The injured uncle and grandmother were later shifted to a private hospital for treatment.Family members said Ikra had been living with her uncle and grandmother for the past two years after her parents separated. Her uncle works as a carpenter, while her grandmother is employed as a cook. Police have registered a case of accidental death and started an inquiry.
