Indore: Even as the MP board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 continue across the state, evaluation of answer sheets began in Indore on Sunday to ensure that results are declared on time. The process started despite it being a holiday, reflecting the tight academic schedule this year.
On Sunday, evaluation of Class 12 answer sheets in economics, physics and English commenced at the designated centre in the city. Nearly 35,000 answer sheets for these these subjects reached Indore for assessment in the first phase.

Officials said the work began at 1 pm under close supervision, with daily monitoring carried out at the state-level through a digital application that records the number of copies checked by each examiner. Each evaluator is being assigned up to 60 answer sheets per day.
More than 250 evaluators from the district underwent training for the first phase of the assessment process. A second round of training is scheduled from Mar 1 to accommodate additional teachers, as regular examinations are still underway and only a limited number of teachers are currently available for evaluation duty.
The evaluation centre in-charge Babita Haryani said the department is committed to maintaining accuracy and timelines. "We completed training of over 250 evaluators and the process began in a systematic manner. Our aim is to complete the evaluation work by March 15 so that students receive their results without delay," she said.
Meanwhile, concerns over scheduled power maintenance during examination days drew criticism from parents, who said uninterrupted electricity is essential for students during this crucial period.
