Domestic dispute turns violent, woman attacked by husband’s first wife
Indore: A domestic dispute turned violent in Cantt police station limits of Neemuch, where a woman was allegedly attacked with a sharp weapon by her husband's first wife and her relatives, leaving her seriously injured.Nasreen, who is married to Imran Qureshi, was rushed to district hospital after she sustained deep wounds on her neck and hand, where she remains under treatment. Doctors said she required around 10 stitches on her hand, while injuries on her neck were also significant.According to the victim, the marriage took place a year ago with the consent of the first wife, Zubaida. But, the relationship was strained for the past six months, during which Nasreen claims she was subjected to continuous harassment. She alleged that Zubaida was pressuring Imran to divorce her, triggering frequent disputes within the household.The situation escalated when Zubaida's relatives reportedly arrived from Bundi in Rajasthan. Nasreen alleged that she was called for a discussion under the pretext of resolving the issue, but was instead ambushed and attacked. Among those named by her are Zubaida, her sister-in-law Guddo and others identified as Hina, Sajju and Chhotu.Police said that a case was registered.
