Close shave for family of four after moving car catches fire near Bombay Hospital

Indore: A family of four had a narrow escape on Friday night when their moving car suddenly caught fire near Bombay Hospital. The incident occurred on the busy route leading from Radisson Square toward the hospital.Owner of the car, his elderly mother, wife and their daughter were travelling the vehicle when the blaze erupted, ACP Parag Saini said.As the fire broke out, bystanders rushed to their rescue. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and a major tragedy was averted.A water tanker passing by the spot played a crucial role in controlling the situation. The driver used the tanker's water supply to douse the flames, preventing the vehicle from being completely destroyed and mitigating the danger to other commuters on the road.Preliminary investigation indicate that the car was equipped with a CNG kit. Police suspect that a short circuit within the engine bay may have triggered the fire. The vehicle has been seized by the police for further technical examination.Videos of the incident have gone viral on social media, showing intense flames leaping from the front section of the car.
