Madhya Pradesh: Actress’s ex-boyfriend held for her suicide, wife still on run

INDORE: Tejaji Nagar police on Wednesday arrested absconding accused Rahul Navlani in the actress Vaishali Takkar suicide case.
Rahul, Vaishali’s former boyfriend, and his wife Disha were booked on Sunday night for abetting her suicide but they were on the run, said police. A bounty was announced for information leading to their arrest.
Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday took details of the case at a law-and-order review meeting and ordered officials to arrest the accused immediately.Indore Police commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra said, “Rahul Navlani, who was absconding after abetting Vaishali Takkar’s suicide, has been arrested. He fled from his house soon after the incident and we had information that he would flee from the country, so a lookout circular was issued on Tuesday along with a cash reward of Rs 5,000. When he came to know about these things, pressure mounted on him and he had nowhere to go. When he was returning to Indore, he was arrested. This matter was being dealt with very seriously.”
DCP Amit Tolani said that Rahul planned to flee the country but returned to Indore when he learnt of the lookout notice.
