Indore: Two teenagers were killed when a speeding trailer rammed into their motorcycle on Kukshi–Manawar Road near Lohari in Dhar on Tuesday night. The crash occurred around 8 pm, and both victims died on the spot after being thrown on the road.
Dhar SP Mayank Awasthi said that the deceased were identified as Ravi, 17, and Ganpati, 18, residents of Aawali village. Both worked at Pamela Hotel in Kukshi and were riding towards Lohari to attend a friend's birthday party when the accident took place.
After hitting the bike, the trailer driver fled from the spot along with the vehicle.
A large number of villagers gathered at the accident site. On receiving information, Kukshi police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to Kukshi civil hospital.
Police said the trailer involved in the accident was traced. The vehicle, bearing a Rajasthan registration number, was reportedly empty at the time of the crash. The deaths were recorded, and the bodies were handed over to the family members after a postmortem examination at Kukshi hospital on Wednesday.
