2 stabbed after argument over cigarette smoke outside wine shop

Indore: A heated argument outside a wine shop over cigarette smoke in Tilak Nagar turned into violence when two men attacked others with knives on Friday night.Tilak Nagar police station in-charge Manish Lodha said that the altercation began when Vikas Khede, a resident of Shanti Nagar, and his friend Raja Gopal went to a liquor shop in Scheme No 140. While they were standing outside with their purchase, two individuals, identified as Rahul and Arbaaz from Ramabai Nagar, approached them while smoking. The men allegedly blew cigarette smoke directly at Vikas and Raja, prompting them to object.The situation quickly escalated into a heated argument, during which Rahul and Arbaaz pulled out knives and attacked the two friends. Rahul stabbed Raja Gopal in the chest, while Arbaaz injured Vikas on his left shoulder. Both victims sustained injuries and required medical attention.Police were informed of the incident and they arrived at the scene to begin their investigation. Based on the victims' statements, a case was registered against the accused under several sections of the BNS.
