2 groups booked for rioting and pelting stones

Indore: Indore: Two groups clashed and pelted stones at one another after a dispute during Govardhan Puja in Malharganj area on Wednesday.
Malharganj police said that the incident was reported at 3:30 pm on Wednesday when a procession of a community reached Sitaram temple for workship.
There, the community leader PC Yadav asked the temple priest Vasudev Mishra for pooja inside the temple when some other community members including Atul Sharma, Ramesh Sharma and others entered into a spat, which escalated.
They attacked each other and pelted stones at one another. Police registered a case of rioting against the accused.
Force from two police stations was deployed in the area to avoid any untoward incident. tnn
