2 families clash over property, cross FIR registered
Indore: Two families clashed over an ongoing property dispute in Pandarinath on Monday night. Pandarinath police registered a cross FIR based on complaints from both parties and started investigations.
According to police station in-charge Kapil Sharma, Preeti Rajani filed a complaint against Payal Rajani, Dharampal Rajani, Urvashi Kalra, and Deepak Kalra, accusing them of assault and threats. Preeti said that she and her son Kapil Rajani were at their boutique when Kapil received a call from municipal officers Mayank and Vinod Agrawal, asking him to come home. Upon their arrival, the officials asked for documents, and during this time, Preeti's sister-in-law Payal, brother-in-law Dharampal and relatives Urvashi and Deepak allegedly began verbally abusing and physically assaulting Kapil.
When Preeti intervened, she was also attacked. She alleged that the accused used iron rods and bricks to attack them, and it was the neighbours, who ultimately saved them.
On the other hand, Urvashi Kalra lodged a complaint against Preeti and Kapil, alleging that they assaulted her. She claimed that her husband purchased the ground floor of a house in Kajju Colony, and Preeti frequently visited, disputing the ownership of the same portion. Urvashi said that they approached the municipal corporation regarding the issue, and an investigation was underway.
On February 3, while construction was in progress, Preeti and Kapil arrived and allegedly threatened the workers to stop. When confronted, they started a fight, prompting Payal and Dharampal, who lived on the first floor, to intervene, but they were also assaulted.
The municipal corporation is currently investigating the property dispute while police continue their probe into the violent clash.
