Woman commits suicide

HYDERABAD: A 25-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself on St Mary's church premises in Secunderabad on Sunday night.
K Kiranmayi was married to Joseph in 2002. The couple, who hail from Khammam, has two sons.
Joseph is an employee of St Mary's Church. According to police, Joseph is a choir member and writes hymns.
On Sunday night, Joseph and Kiranmayi had an exchange of words about each other's family members.After the argument, Joseph went to watch a movie at Prashant theatre.
"After watching the movie, Joseph returned home at around 12.30 am. When he walked into the bedroom, he found Kiranmayi hanging from an iron rod with a sari. There was no suicide note," Gopalpuram sub-inspector (SI) A Yadgiri said.
After a few hours, Joseph informed the church authorities who alerted police.
A case was registered under Section 174 (Suspicious death) of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).
