Will develop Warangal on par with Hyderabad, says Revanth Reddy

HYDERABAD: Claiming that development of Warangal would mean development of 50 per cent of Telangana, chief minister A Revanth Reddy Tuesday said he would neither relax nor allow officials to relax until Warangal is developed into a major city like Greater Hyderabad.
In a veiled reference to Lagacherla violence, the CM said BRS is out to stall development of the state with its conspiracies and hired goons.
Addressing a public meeting organised as part of 'Praja Vijayotsavalu', which coincided with the birth anniversary of former prime minister the late Indira Gandhi, in Warangal, the CM said the govt released Rs 6,000 crore for the development of Warangal. "This development is not just of two assembly constituencies here but of entire north Telangana. Warangal district is centrally located and its development would mean we will be developing 50 per cent of the state," he said.
North Telangana comprises erstwhile Adilabad, Khammam, Karimnagar, Warangal, and half of Nalgonda districts. Revanth alleged that the previous BRS govt neglected and betrayed the Warangal city for 10 years.
