HYDERABAD: Accusing Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of encouraging dynastic politics, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda on Thursday asked why his daughter and MLC K Kavitha was questioned by investigating agencies.


Addressing a public meeting at SRR college grounds in Karimnagar to mark the conclusion of the BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar‘s fifth phase of Praja Sangrama Yatra he said "though sensitive to rake up this matter, I want to know why CM’s daughter K Kavitha is questioned by investigative agencies in connection with liquor scam, there must be something," he said.

Nadda further said the chief minister once promised that he would govern the state in the most democratic manner but his priority is only for his son, daughter, and nephew.

"Now the TRS has become the BRS, and after that, they will have to take Voluntary Retirement Service (VRS), he promised to make a Dalit, chief minister of the state but did not do," he said.

Meanwhile, BJP state unit spent moments of anxiousness as Nadda's flight had to be diverted to Vidyanagar in Karnataka before reaching Shamshabad airport.

The flight experienced a technical glitch on the way to Hyderabad from Bengaluru.

He reached Shamshabad airport at around 4.30pm instead of 3.30pm as scheduled.
