According to Banjara Hills inspector N Kalinga Rao, based on the complaint lodged by ABCPL director P Kaushik Rao, a case was booked against Ravi Prakash and his associates — MKVN Murthy and Ch Hari Kiran — for allegedly forging some documents.
“Based on the complaint, we have registered a case under Sections 420, 406, 467, 409 and 120-b of the Indian Penal Code against Ravi Prakash, MKVN Murthy and Hari Kiran. In connection to the case, we issued a notice to Ravi Prakash under Section 41-a of the Code of Criminal Procedure, asking him to appear for questioning on Friday morning,” the inspector said.
Meanwhile, Cyberabad police questioned Ravi Prakash for third consecutive day on Thursday in connection to two cheating cases registered by them. Earlier, Ravi Prakash had approached the Supreme Court seeking anticipatory bail in the cases. The apex court had refused to grant anticipatory bail to Ravi Prakash, but asked the Telangana high court to hear his bail plea afresh on merit on June 10.
The Supreme Court had also directed Ravi Prakash to cooperate with the police investigations. Cyberabad police have registered two different criminal cases against Ravi Prakash, for allegedly forging documents. The cases were registered on April 24 and April 30 based on complaints lodged by P Kaushik Rao of Alanda Media & Entertainments Private Ltd.
