Waqf Board (TSWB) has decided to take stern action against land grabbers occupying waqf properties.
After paying their respects at the Hazrath Baba Sharfuddin shrine, TSWB chairman Mohammed Saleem and other officials carried out an inspection on Wednesday. Later, talking to media, TSWB chairman Mohammed Saleem said encroachments on the shrine land were being taken seriously by the board and TSWB would come out with firm initiatives to throw out illegal occupants from the high-priced properties.
"The various encroachments on the shrine land are being identified by officials. The most expensive land measuring, more than two thousand acres, will be protected. In this regard, the board is going to meet and finalize the further course of action against those occupying the lands,'' said TSWB chairman Saleem. TSWB has assured the ongoing ramp construction work would be completed early.
"Already, the budget has been sanctioned for ramp construction by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, so as to could ensure the amenities for the devotees. The ramp is likely to be operational in this regime,'' added TSWB chairman.
Replying to a query, the board chairman said the airport Waqf property issue would be taken up with KCR to claim it.
"All the open land will be protected first. The matter would be taken up with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Nobody will be allowed to grab waqf land and its illegal occupants will not be spared. Nobody has the authority to sell out waqf property anywhere. Only the board only can lease out its properties and collect,'' said Mohammed Saleem.
