HYDERABAD: A police constable died and three of his colleagues suffered injuries after a ready mix (concrete mixer) truck, driven by a man under the influence of alcohol, crashed into a police picket on Osmansagar Road at Ramdev Guda in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The Golconda police had set up the picket with four cops on the 10-feet pavement abutting an army compound to prevent untoward incidents during the upcoming Bakrid festival and Ganesh immersion as everyday scores of vehicles carrying cattle purchased at the Narsingi market pass through Ramdev Guda.

Rahul Yadav (No. 7623), Pawan, Virender Goud and Saidulu of the Golconda police station were deployed at the picket.
