Three held for IPL betting

Hyderabad: Two cricket betting organisers and a collection agent were arrested on the charge of accepting bets in Mangalhat during the IPL match between Hyderabad Sunrisers and Delhi Daredevils on Thursday night.

Task force sleuths said that Chandrapal Singh and Manveer Singh were the betting organisers and that Nikhil Chary was their collection agent. Police seized one TV, one setup box, one remote, one note book, one pen, one calculator, eight cell phones and a net cash of Rs 13,120. Chandrapal is a civil contractor. He got into cricket betting on the advice of his friend Bhagwan Singh. The three accused have been remanded to judicial custody.
