Telangana: Drug kingpin Edwin gets bail, walks out of jail

HYDERABAD: A local court at Nampally on Thursday granted conditional bail to Goa-based alleged drug supplier Edwin Nunes in a case registered against him by Lalaguda police. An important condition is that he should appear before police everyday for 30 days. However, he walked out of jail on Wednesday evening as Lalaguda police did not seek his judicial remand. He had earlier obtained bail in two other cases booked in the city.

Officilas said he would be in custody from morning to evening for 30 days. Edwin has succeeded in getting bail in all the three cases registered against him by city police. Officials said in cases filed by OU police and Ramgopalpet police, he had obtained conditional bail in the last week. On Wednesday, he walked out of jail.

On Thursday, he moved a bail petition in the case filed by Lalaguda police as cops did not seek his judicial remand. tnn
