Nikhat Zareen winning the gold medal in the 50 kg category in the finals of the Women's World Boxing Championship held in New Delhi on Sunday.
KCR congratulated and extended best wishes to Nikhat Zareen. Referring to her 5-0 victory over Vietnam's boxer Nuyen, he termed Nikhat as a proud child of
Telangana.
"Nikhat Zareen with her successive victories has once again demonstrated India's popularity worldwide," he said. The CM said it is a great moment that Nikhat won the second gold medal in her career. The state government is committed to the development of sports and the welfare of sportspersons by encouraging them, he added.
