Teen found dead under suspicious circumstances near Miralam Tank in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A 15-year-old boy was found dead under mysterious circumstances near Miralam Tank in Attapur police station limits on Thursday.

Police suspect homicide due to multiple injuries on his head.

According to police, locals discovered the body in an isolated area at around 7 am and alerted the police. A patrol team arrived at the scene, documented the evidence, and circulated the boy’s pictures in local WhatsApp groups for identification.

Shortly after, the boy’s parents approached the police and confirmed his identity.

The deceased, a school dropout, belonged to Hasan Nagar, a neighbouring locality.

Investigators revealed that the boy had left home on Wednesday evening with friends and failed to return. His family searched for him throughout the night but to no avail.

A dog squad and forensic team examined the crime scene before the body was sent for post-mortem examination.

Attapur police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
