HYDERABAD: Senior cardiologist Dr D Sheshagiri Rao has resumed his duties as head of the cardiology department at the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (Nims). He was suspended after Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths said that they had caught him accepting a bribe of Rs 1.6 lakh from a stent supplier in January this year. Hospital officials said while the ACB inquiry will go on, Dr Rao will resume his work at the cardiology department as head and he subsequently took charge late on Thursday.
