HYDERABAD: Even as the stalemate between the treasury benches and opposition
TDP over setting up of a House committee into land allotments by the YSR regime continued for the ninth day on Saturday, it was the turn of about 20 Jagan loyalist
Congress MLAs to demand a probe into land allotments made during the TDP regime.
After two short adjournments, the House was finally adjourned for the day at 12.45 pm.
In the melee, MIM members were heard demanding that the House committee probe should include the sale of waqf land in the entire state as well.
The House began with `Jai Telangana' slogans from few Congress
Telangana MLAs, who later calmed down after the intervention of deputy speaker N Manohar. Even as the deputy speaker directed municipal administration minister M Maheedhar Reddy to answer the first question listed in the question hour for the day, TDP MLAs rushed to the well of the House and raised their demand for a House committee. At the same time, Jagan loyalist MLAs held placards with Naidu's photo and demanded a probe into the land deals entered into by the TDP regime. With order not being restored, the House was adjourned for half an hour at 9.10 am.
When the House reassembled at 10.45 am, it was the turn of the MIM members to enter the well of the House and demand a probe into the sale of waqf land. In the meantime, the TDP and Jagan loyalist Congress MLAs entered into arguments and the House was adjourned for the second time at 11 am.
When the House re-assembled at 12.30 pm, it was the turn of the TDP MLAs to display placards against YSR, a rebuff to the Jagan loyalists for demanding a probe against Naidu. At 12.45 pm, it was adjourned for the day.
